Under the terms of this partnership, SkyTel Communications Ltd will gain access to EDOTCO Bangladesh’s telecom infrastructure sites. Concurrently, EDOTCO Bangladesh will benefit from colocation opportunities with SkyTel, leading to optimised resource management and enhanced network connectivity for the citizens.

EDOTCO Bangladesh, the leading National Tower Company boasting the highest number of towers nationwide, continues its pledge to connect the unconnected and under-connected through synergetic endeavours. The joint efforts of both entities promise to amplify the capacity for improved network connectivity across the country.

Based in Dhaka, Bangladesh, SkyTel Communications Ltd., operates as a private limited company and serves as an International Internet Gateway (IIG) operator. In its capacity as an IIG operator, SkyTel Communications excels in managing international inbound and outbound internet-based data traffic. The agreement underscores a commitment to ensuring top-tier, cost-effective global internet and data connectivity for Internet Service Providers (ISPs), Mobile Network Operators (MNO) operators, and Call Centers throughout Bangladesh. This ambitious goal will be realised through the integration of undersea submarine cables, international terrestrial cables, and satellite links, all of which are set to significantly elevate the country’s network connectivity standards.
