Meet Kavitha Silatori! She’s a manager with our application support under the digital services department in Malaysia.

In conjunction with International Women’s Day 2023, we sat down with her earlier this week and spoke to her about what it means for her to work at EDOTCO and what it means to be a woman in this industry today.

Let’s take a look at her responses below:

Tell us a little bit about yourself.

Hi, my name is Kavitha and I lead the Application Support team and manage users experience and best practices for applications supported by Digital Services at EDOTCO Malaysia. My job scope includes supporting the project team to coordinate and track project execution as well as align them with the program objectives and ensuring timely and quality delivery.

What does a typical day look like to you?

On a normal day, I oversee my team as they progress in application operation & project activities. I check-in via daily stand-ups and help them with any issues they may be having such as escalations or ad-hoc requests and stay connected with business owners to update them on our progress.

EDOTCO is a huge company with many employees across the board. Can you describe the working culture in EDOTCO?

EDOTCO is a multiracial organisation with diverse communities but all of us come together as a family to collaborate and engage each other with respect on a daily basis.

In conjunction with International Women’s Day, and in line with the theme of “Embrace Equity”, what does it mean to be a woman in this industry today, especially working in a company like EDOTCO?

As a woman in the EDOTCO family, I feel empowered to fulfil my role and am given equal rights to opportunities irrespective of gender or ethnic background.

EDOTCO spans numerous regions and has left an impactful mark. What do you think makes EDOTCO stand out within this industry?

As one of the largest tower companies in the world, EDOTCO stands out not only because we aim high but also strive to serve and connect millions of people across Asia, sustainably.
