EDOTCO Bangladesh Reaffirms Commitment by Contributing to the Bangladesh Labour Welfare Foundation
At EDOTCO Bangladesh, we believe in prioritising the well-being of our workforce and fostering a fair, safe, and supportive work environment. In line with this commitment, EDOTCO Bangladesh, the country's leading digital infrastructure provider, has once again contributed to the Bangladesh Labour Welfare Foundation. This annual gesture underscores our dedication to both employee welfare and corporate social responsibility.
This week, Mr. A. H. M Shafiquzzaman, Secretary of the Ministry of Labour and Employment, graciously received the contribution cheque from EDOTCO Bangladesh at his office in the Secretariat. Representing EDOTCO were Mr. Rizwan Hamid Quraishi, Director of Human Resources, and Ms. Ishrat Zerin, Director of Corporate Affairs and Planning, who proudly handed over the cheque on behalf of the company.
This marks another significant milestone for EDOTCO Bangladesh, which has been contributing to the Bangladesh Labour Welfare Foundation since 2019. These contributions not only ensure full compliance with the statutory obligations outlined in the Bangladesh Labour Law but also reflect EDOTCO's core values of social responsibility and ethical corporate governance.
EDOTCO Bangladesh has long recognised the importance of adhering to labor welfare standards. By consistently contributing to the Bangladesh Labour Welfare Foundation, the company helps to ensure that workers across various sectors have access to essential support in times of need. The Foundation itself plays a crucial role in enhancing the quality of life for workers by providing financial aid for accidents, injuries, and other hardships faced by employees in Bangladesh.
"At EDOTCO, we understand that a thriving workforce is the backbone of any successful company," said Mr. Rizwan Hamid Quraishi during the cheque handover ceremony. "Our contribution to the Bangladesh Labour Welfare Foundation is just one of the ways we demonstrate our commitment to improving the lives of not only our employees but the broader community as well."
For EDOTCO Bangladesh, this contribution is more than a legal obligation; it represents a tangible expression of the company’s values. Beyond compliance with labor laws, the organisation is deeply committed to upholding the highest standards of ethical business practices. EDOTCO consistently goes beyond statutory requirements, seeking to lead by example in the corporate world.
"As a socially responsible company, we take our duty to safeguard the rights and welfare of our employees seriously," said Ms. Ishrat Zerin. "Our continued contributions to the Labour Welfare Foundation reflect our belief in creating a supportive environment where employees can thrive, both professionally and personally."
Moving forward, EDOTCO Bangladesh plans to continue reinforcing its dedication to labor welfare by not only contributing financially but also fostering a work environment that prioritises employee safety, fairness, and well-being. The company is committed to being a responsible employer and an advocate for labor welfare in the telecommunications industry.
As EDOTCO Bangladesh grows, it remains steadfast in its mission to build a sustainable future where both its employees and the communities it serves benefit from its success. This latest contribution is a testament to the company’s ongoing commitment to ethical leadership and responsible corporate citizenship.
